Problem is as described... the cold water flowrate through the house is too great for the boiler to heat to "bath" temperature - which is around 50-60 degrees C...
Takes ages to fill ..before we moved into this house ,a roof extension was added by the previous owner which extended the CH and addition shower.

Is there anyway I can modify the system to get fill a bath in reasonable time without boiler replacement. Cheers Simon.

Have you got room for a hot water cylinder ? its possible to run an unvented cylinder off your combi, depends on your incoming cold water flow and pressure and if you can get the pipes in.

What exactly do you mean by that?

Hi bengerman

The standard mains pressure to the boiler seems to too high to allow the water passing through it to heat up at appropriate rate to give a hot a bath in a reasonable time (1st.floor).S.

80 refers to smallest combi size. Flowrate will be 9.5l per minute at temperature rise of 35 degrees C. Run hot tap full belt and collect water in a bucket for precise 15 seconds. x4 should equal 9.5l. If that is what you are getting, then likely to be an undersized gas line.

A bit silly to fit a combi (let alone a miniscule combi) when both bathing rooms are likely to be occupied.
