Ok, so this is a bizarre question and something that has puzzled me for a couple of years on and off - so - wonder if anyone here can solve this!
I have noticed that when bath water is let go and emptying (or water is going down the overflow!) I get a kind of creaking from a pipe (I think) up in the ceiling of the bathroom. It's the kind of "normal creak" you might expect to hear when maybe water is heating up or cooling down, so it's not a problem in any way - it just simply intrigues me as it only ever happens when the water is emptying - to my mind the water is obviously flowing straight down (!!!) so how can I hear a creak in a pipe in the ceiling when this is happening???
Come on someone - please put me out of my misery ! ! !
