STOP SHOUTING :!:
Is the wife missing a bra wire ? Probably something got stuck between drum and case, have a close look inside drum at all the holes, if your lucky it may still be in hole and you can get it out. If not take the drum out and look, if this is clear then only bearing left.

THANKS: BUT NO BRA TO BE FOUND AND NONE MISSING.
IT MAKES QUITE A DEEP NOISE, ALRIGHT WHEN SPINNING SLOW BUT ABIT NOISEY WHEN FAST. TRYED TO UNDO BIG STAR SCREW ON THE BACK OF THE DRUM CANT BUDGE IT. DO I NEED TO UNDO THIS TO REMOVE DRUM. ANY TACTICS FOR UNDOING IT.

am assuming this machine has stainless steel outer tub(some have plastic) large torx screw is in centre of pulley for removal of pulley only.if you want to remove this youl have to heat with blowlamp-to change bearings tub needs to be lifted out of top of machine-not for diy suggest you scrap machine

Thanks everyone. I,ve stopped shouting now false of habbit.
I am still using the machine. It is no worse , i will wait for the bang.

I've got exactly the same problem - is this a common problem with Indesit washers? I've previously always had Hoover machines which seem to last at least 10 years. The Indesit isn't even 2 years old yet!!

Not in my experience. My current Indesit is 10 years old and going strong.
The previous Indesit lasted 20 years. I did change the bearing after about 14 years, but by that time almost everything else had been changed too.
