Smeg DI612 dishwasher, no error codes starts and stops.

Hi guys, i've searched the forums but coudnt find anything on this problem.

After selecting a program and shutting the door the drain pump starts and runs for 2 seconds then stops. The machine makes a bleep noise then the drain pump starts again running for 2 seconds then stops again and the cutting in and out process continues and the machine never reaches its selected cycle.
No alarm lights are displayed.
There is water in the machine where the filter is and the filters are nice and clean.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? My DWI612C does exactly the same thing. In every cycle it just starts for a second, beeps, stops then starts again for a second etc etc. No blockages or leaks, but I found the main suppressor had blown so I replaced it but no change. I then replaced the Drain pump - still no luck. The problem is I'm not getting any error codes. The light for the chosen cycle remains on as if nothings wrong. Any idea how to trace the fault? I'm guessing the motor, the pcb or one of the capacitors

I have a DF612 SDX which seems to be frozen at the finished cycle stage - programme & pause leds flashing, tried all the standard reset and de-powering exercises to no avail. This happened once or twice in the past & the problem disappeared after much button pressing,
