Window shootbolt locks - Twist Fit Shoot Bolt

Hi, the gearbox for my lock (This one) broke so I ordered a new one and I'm having problems fitting the shoot bolts back into it.

The bolts twist into the box a quarter turn but there isn't a way I can think of to turn and lock it in place once pushed in. They look like This

Has anyone got any experience with these? I was just wondering if there is there a trick to it or whether I'm missing something obvious.

No way of getting a lock nut on there?

Use thread loc on the thread.

Thanks for replying. Can't get a nut on but some sort of thread loc sounds good, didn't know it existed.

I feel there is something easy a pro will just point out and it will be a why didn't I see that moment. They had to get the bleeding things on in the first place.
