TEMPERATURE SELECTOR very stiff-works if turned very slowly, otherwise temp. selector knob jumps where it's engaged with cable top. Looking for simple solution without having everything removed. Is this a common problem? Thanks DK

try pulling or easing the knob off and lube the metal behind. if this does not work then you may need a switch.

try to follow the cable run and lubricate at its operating mechanism
