I need to replace the old felt flat roof and boards on my garage roof. It's a link-detached house, and the garage roof basically sits on joists that span the gap between our house and next door.

The front and back edges of the roof aren't attached to any buildings, they just have wooden fascias. On the old roof these front and back roof edges have a raised lip, where the edge of the felt goes over then down to meet the fascia. What do I need to get to replicate this curved lip. Just some shaped timber, or is there a proper edge/lip former available.

Similar thing along the roof sides that join the walls. There is something under the felt to support it where it curves up to meet the wall under the flashing. Shaped wood, or some other fitting?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks.

These are what's needed for the sides of the roof that join the walls, under the flashing.

Am I right in thinking that these aren't suitable for the open ends of the roof, ie. above the fascias? What would be best to form the ridge here, something more rounded with less of a sharp ridge unlike the fillets?

Have a look at www.permaroof.co.uk

I got my stuff from there and they have all the guides, details and products you need - including a special plastic section to hold the EPDM down over the fascia and form the drip into the gutter ... which is presumably what you were asking about in the second post?
