I have an Oras mixer tap in my kitchen which is leaking from the sides. How do I dimantle it in order to check what the cause is? I can't really afford to get a new tap now or a plumber in for that matter.

Assuming you mean it is leaking from the bottom of the swivel spout, undo the small screw on the body of the mixer and pull the spout out. It will probably have a rubber O seal which can be replaced.

If there's no little screw, try turning the spout till it's parallel with the back of the unit, and lift.

My mixer tap is leaking not from the sides, but from the tap itself (where the water usually comes out :D ). This stops when we go under the sink and turn the hot water pressure valve off... what could the problem be? Is this something we can fix ourselves, or do we need to call a plumber in?
