Had a mouse in the kitchen, hubby moved washing machine slightly to lay trap at the side of machine. Caught mouse great! Now washing machine fills up, but the drum does not move can hear a slight whirring sound as it tries to go round. I would be greatful if anyone has any ideas on what the problem might be and if it will cost me a fortune to get fixed. many thanks carole

Sounds like the belt has come off. If you take the back off you will see ;)

Agree with fido, likely to be the belt off.

Probably 10 small screws and maybe a bolt or two and 15 mins.
