Hi, being driven mad by a newly installed boiler.
The first two months, it seemed to need manually repressurising twice a week or so, now as well as being a little noisy, firing up whenever it feels like (even when heating isn't on) it shows up with code 6 or code 7, quite hard to know what this actually means, as it just says follow step 1, whcih is 'failure to ignite'. This happens on average 10 to 20 times a day, requiring different action each time, sometimes, resetting, sometimes repressurising and sometimes it just pipes up itself.....this quite often happens at night, so we need to get it sorted before winter sets in.
We had vokera before, when the 'man' cleaned the system, he said it was as clean as a whistle. When we got him back to sort out probs, he said we prob had a leak in the system somewhere, caused by the 'new' system being more powerful than the old. Does this make any sense or are we being given the run around.
Any help or ideas you can give us, gratefully received, to prevent any further hairloss.
