--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I have an old Aquation E shower and it has been working perfectly fine up until a couple of days ago. First the pull cord to switch the shower on/off broke however luckily it was on and the light is still on and the shower worked ok.

But having been working ok for a week the shower simply stopped and cut out the other day. I think the thermostat cut out part is at fault but I am not 100% sure. Could it be because the pull cord has been left permanently and this caused the thermostat to cut out ?

Anyone had experience or similar problems. I was thinking of replacing the thermostat from http://www.showerdoc.co.uk but not exactly sure what it looks like.

Cheers. Vips

Why do you think it might be?

Absolutely not.

Have you checked to see if there's actually any electricity getting to the shower?

Thermostat cut outs usually just stop the heating, not the water flow.
