Make and model would be handy.
However, most likely cause is flooded base and anti flood activated.
Post up the make and model, may be able to help further.
Power off before working on any appliance.

Put some towels on the floor at the rear of the machine, tilt the machine backwards a little and drain the water out of the base. Once it's drained it should work again.
