Indesit widl 126 washer dryer - not taking water

Hope someone can help me!

Indesit widl 126 washer dryer goes through all the motions for all wash settings, but refuses to take in water through tray 2 (the main soap tray).

Tray 1 (the prewash tray) takes water with no problems, as does the fabric softener tray.

Would i be right in thinking its one of the solenoids/water valves.

For diagnostic purposes, is it a good idea to try swapping the solenoids over?

Hope someone can help!

Instead of swapping the solenoids look at the wiring, on either one one side will be ganged together the other is the supply or nuetral. POWER OFF. Switch the two wires over and retry. If water problem is resolved then new valve required.
