Door Sill treatment

Hi,
I have a victorian door frame and sill and the sill has gaps where the plaster is worn and chipped away, can anyone recommend the best way to replace it? Also if I fix the sill, should I buy one of those metal guard things and if so what are they called and where would I get one?

See this from previous post to help you.The metal door sill cover are specially made up as there're all difference type of sill.Usually a good brass hardware shop can make one for you,but you must give them the template shape fo your sill etc.
