Hi Folks, just a quick question please. Our integrated washing machine is on the blink and we're considering changing it for a free standing one (with no door) . . . just so that in the event we move house we will take it with us.

I will need to cut the kick board to fit the new machine. What saw will give me the best cut and what do i need to consider to get the smartest fit.

Many thanks. Photos attached.

Use a try square to mark out and do the cutting with a tenon saw.....by all means score through the laminate with a stanley knife first.
Remove the plinth before cutting - often enough they are just clipped on.
John :)

How about - remove the length of plinth (kicker board) install the machine and replace the plinth, if it fits that is...pinenot :)

You need to check a free standing appliance will fit, they can be wider than built under appliances.
