I lose pressure in the system over a 2 day period and need to top up the water. How can I find out where I am losing pressure in the Central heating system? I can not find a leak so is there a fluid that I can pour into the system that will block any small leak internally?

Try checking expansion vessel pressure.

u should hav a relief pipe outside from boiler (15mm norm)tie a small bag on it to c if any water there over the 2 day pressure drop.

...or go even further, and actually check the EV.

Two common points of leaks are:

1. Rad valve joints - a tiny leak can evaporate without being noticed.
Pressurise the system when cold and check all joints.

2. PR valve - take a look at the outlet from your drain tube.

There could be a leak under your downstairs floor, You wouln't find it without inspecting the pipework as the water would just drain away into the ground.

Its unlikely but just an idea...
