I recently bought a new light fitting for my kitchen. It has 4 spot lights on it and replaced a basic existing single bulb fixture. The old ceiling rose contained the live, neutral and earth wires, plus 3 red loop wires. Unfortunately there is no provision in my new fitting for loop, so I fed all 3 loop wires into a dead end in the block within the new fitting and wired the other standard wires into the designated ports. I tried it and it worked fine, the bathroom light also works fine but surprise surprise nothing else in my flat works (lounge, bedroom and hallway) as I have broken the loop. I could spend all day trying different combinations but I don't want to burn the place down, any suggestions?! Cheers

1: if it was a 'loop', youd have 2 breaks in the cable.
2: double check all lights are wired correctly. use meter to determine siwtch (unless already using twin red)
3: light on the radial before where the lights stop working is probably the place to look first
