I have a mixer tap to fit to a new sink. The hole in the sink is slightly too big. This wasn\\\'t a problem as I had a plumber, who was going to get something to fit in the sink, which will allow the tap to fit in. Unfortunately I haven\\\'t heard from the plumber for a couple of weeks.

Can someone tell me what the device he was describing is called and where I can get one?

ive never heard of anything that fits IN the sinks tap hole.

Have see a chrome thin saucer type things which leave a bevelled edge showing, and have a different diameter step underneath to fit bigger holes. Came with a new tap though.

Silicone it is, then?
