hot water noise

Hello,

Whenever i turn on a hot water tap anywhere in the house there is a rushing water noise that you can hear all around the house. It lasts around 4 or 5 minutes after you shut the hot water off. This just started 2 days ago. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
