I have the same problem sometimes & other times I find the undissolved soap tablet in the bottom of the machine.
Any help out there ??

I don't know how to fix it, but you can get round it by putting the tablet in the cutlery holder. It doesn't dissolve in the short, cold rinse, but will in the hot wash cylcle.
Obviously this doesn't work with powder or liquid.

Tried soap tablet in cutlery drawer & this worked. Then realised I had placed a dishwasher freshener hanging from the upper rack on the l/hand side. This was enough to prevent the soap dispenser drawer from opening properly. I have now moved this to the r/hand side & tablets disperse & disolve ok.
Hope this solves other people's problem.
