I am about to fit a mixer shower in the bathroom, is it ok to tap off the cold water mains, or does it have to be from a tank in the loft?? |

What do the instructions say? Normally the hot and cold supplies should be at equal, or at least similar pressures. If the hot is fed by a tank in the roof space, so should the cold feed to the shower.
