Bosch Exxcel Powder Draw does not open

The Powder Draw is not opening on my dishwasher . The Upper rotation arm is free and moving and the dishes are coming out quite clean so the cycle must be running ok.

The Draw will spring open when I press the little blue catch so the mechanism seems ok. What else can I try ??

It can be that there is something on the dishwasher pressing on it

Or maybe the electric trigger for the lid is worn/not working.

To get round it, if you throw the dishwasher tablet in the cutlery basket, it will dissolve when the hot water washing cycle starts; it will not dissolve in the cold rinse.
