Type I is 16.5ka , type II is 33ka

BS1361 type II is I belive what is most often used in DNO cutouts

Not all MCBs are 6kA, some are marked with their short circuit category as i.e. M3 is a 3kA breaker. Others have a figure printed on them in a box, such as 6000 is a 6kA and 10000 is a 10kA. This is in GN3 on P60.
