Lead Flashing marks

I have decorative lead flashing above my porch which is staining the glossed white barge board below it. Does anyone know how I should treat the lead to stop it leaving black water marks on the barge board evey time it rains?

Close, icon_wink.gif Patination oil.....from a Plumbers merchant . wipe on with rag after cleaning lightly with wirewool
