just out of curiosity, what is it for, 23A thats not small

what is it driving and how much effort does it take to start it. starting load is more important than running current.

it is an ice cream machine which has got a compressor and a beater in there. and on the side of the plate on the machine with all its details it draws 23 amps with enitial start up and drops afterwards but it does not constantly draw 23 amps

any help?

7kva might be ok it all depends how easily the motor starts and the generator engine speed picks up.

at 240V you will require 5.52kVA to deliver 23A
Will you want to run anything else of the gen set? Such as lights another freezer, small power etc?

does any one know if there is a 10 kva deisel generator going at a good price?
