I'm replacing a bath waste run which currently goes into an old 2.5" iron pipe (not completely accessible at the mo as the bath is still in place). Are there any adapters available for the connection between the 40mm waste pipe and the old 2.5" pipe? Thanks

Thats always a problem as the technique of using hot lead or caulked lead is difficult. If you can disemble a socket you can often do a good bodge with silicone sealant although you should not use plumbers Mait.
An easier solution is often to cut the c.i. pipe and use a Fernco or similar rubber coupler with jubilee clips. Thats an accepted solution.
