I have a valve sited about 6 inches above my boiler. I think it is some sort of pressure release valve. The problem is is drips on a fairly regular basis. Is there anything i should or could do to stop this? any help greatfully recived.
Its probably a spring loaded safety valve, they don't have a discharge pipe. They were often fitted on the flow pipe when required by the local bylaws.
Since they are not calibrated they often leak.
Check the leak has not corroded a hole through the top of the boiler casing.
Either drain down the system or pull a vacumn and replace the O ring or washer. Best of all replace with a proper 3 Bar safety valve
