Putting in fan and would like to know if its possible and how to wire it so it works off both the light switch and the shower switch.Doing it this way so it can be used from either one.

no

unless you are familiar with relays, and a type of relay that can have 2 inputs to energise the controlled circuit. not sure if such an item exists, TBH.

as the above post says.

it can be done by it will require relays and housings for said relays and fcu.s in essence its best just to either have the fan switch on with the lights, independantly or have a humidty fan that switches on / off acording to the room humidity

You could just use two of them and wire the contacts in parallel, but in this case a single changeover relay/contactor will suffice icon_wink.gif

Or you could simply and easily use double pole pull cords - one pole to switch the light, and the other pole to switch the fans sw-live. Fans pem live as normal.

Easy - this is how it is commonly done in commercial apps with a large heat-exchanger type fan ducted between gents/ladies/disabled etc.

Lectrician,

good idea, but would that mean you would have two supplys in the shower switch?

Nothing wrong with this ofcourse as long as it is clearly identified.
