i've just fitted a new bath and the waste is leaking very slightly. it's coming out where the rubber seal is onto the bath underneath. could it just be the screw that pulls them togther needs tightening ? i have done it fairly tight but am afraid over over-tightening it and snappning it ? i've checked it's all aligned up correctly and can't see any problems..

thanks...

The washers on there own rarely seal 100%, especially with the rough surface of fibre glass on plastic baths. You really ought to smear a bit of sealing compound around it too to make up any roughness. LSX or Plumba a good ones, about 3 quid a tube. Also, you are right about overtightening, dont do it.
