have come to replace shower pull switch. wired as usual but then it blew for some reason. have tried wiring again but no success. can anyone help please by providing diagram or any other help. thanks. |

You have got the correct sort I assume. It should be a 45amp double pole switch with a visible on and off indicator.
This should have a live and neutral 'feed' and a live and neutral 'load', and obviously an earth too. Your cable that comes from the consumer unit should go into the appropriate live and neutral 'feed' connectors. And the cable that connects to your shower go into the appropriate live and neutral 'load' connectors.
This is a whole lot of power that really shouldnt be messed about with. I am sure a sparky wouldnt charge much to do these connections for you safely. |
