Hope you can help.

:( After finishing its washing cycle, the drum of my Zanussi WJD1257W washer/dryer fills up with water when left for period of time. (i.e. overnight or when left during the day)

Am I right in thinking that there is some kind of non-return valve that is not working? If so, can this be repaired or do I need a new bit? And where is it?

Many thanks for your anticipated help.

its your fill valve that is not shutting properly, i should suspect its the cold one.

un plug appliance, turn off water valve is inside m/c other end of coldwater inlet pipe

This Zanussi Model is Cold Water Fill only. Got the top off. Where the cold water hose comes in, is an electrical unit with three small hoses coming out from the other end.

Having unscrewed it, (it's still attached to the 3 small hoses) I cannot see a switch to turn it off. There are a few electrical connections attached to it and what looks like 3 barrel-shaped relays.

:?: Is this the Fill Valve? Can it be repaired or is a new one needed?

yes that is the cold fill valve , but in your case its a tripple valve you have to change the whole thing
