up date on boiler
plumber advised descaler to be added to water after draining says possible blockage ie heat cannot get out of heat ex hence boiler cuts out or faulty overheat stat .
fault boiler lights heats up rads warm cuts out but trying to relight.
any ideas or input would be greatfull.

sorry new pump fitted as pointed to blockage or pump now rads all over hse getting warm then after 8 mins boiler cuts out.
plumber seems to think blockage??.
heat ex scaled up due to pump or blockage(ie water in boiler just sitting there.
but flow chart points to over heat stat???
any pointers??.

comes in crystals what are mixed with warm water if its any help.

Did he change the whole pump or just the head? This was on an apollo as it appens. Clck it -

Any half baked boiler bloke should be able to test an overheat stat...
