flickering light after installation

fitted the dimmer fine, but the light bulb we have, flickers as soon as you try to dim it. fine when it\\\'s on full. is it the bulb? or have i fitted the wrong dimmer (packet said 250 watt, one gang, two way. tks

assuming its a single incandescent lamp (ordainairy lightbulb to you and me) then you have a cheapo dimmer, or you are not using the minimum load

Need more info. We can't comment on what the problem is just from what you have written.

What are you dimming and what is the dimmer?
