boiler noise/air in system

I have a potterton wall boiler it is kettling. The pump is in position 2, when I switch to position 3 it seems to disappear.
Then I have air in rads no matter how much I bleed them. Any suggestions?

yes leave the pump on three

and pop some fernox boiler silencer into the system

but when he sets it high it stops gordon so how can that be?
