Blown dimmer switch 1G 2W
Reply with quote Thanks

Can anyone help: I have just blown my new dimmer: 400W 1G 2W after connecting it to a standard on/off switch for a 180W\\\'s of ceiling lighting.

I connected : red to "C" common; black to "L1" leaving L2 free; earth to earth on metal front plate.

Must be simple if you know how.

Mark

How do you mean blown? Did it go bang or is it just work like an on/off switch? How many red and black wires in the switch? Have you been doing anything else to the circuit?
