Q) can a electric cooker control box be moved,from a flush mount, to a surface mount
2ft,what are the regs.

yes, so long as the box is going towards the direction the cable comes from.

If it doesn't then you will have to change the whole cable

Don't be tempted to "join" more cable on whatever you do!
