it is common but not always, depends on how the lamp was manufacturerd. As now they pretty much all come from china it is most likely to repeat this.

When I was S/E, I had a customer in a flat with a 3036 board which was always popping the fuses when lamps blew.

I fitted OSRAM all round.

I did a technical presentation the other week, and was talking about how I had conversed with a customer about her "faulty ring".
