We have a Worcester 24cdi boiler, and it is very noisey when in operation (vibration noise). It seems to get quieter if you press on the sides of the boiler.

When we moved in a couple of years ago, the Plumber who did the gas safety check said it was the fan, and although wasn't an urgent problem, should be changed (2 years on, it's still not been done  )

Is the fan likely to make this sort of noise?
I've checked the boiler casing and it doesn't seem to be loose at all

Thanks in advance for any replies

The fans on the Worcester do seem to wear more than most but they are not too expensive to replace.

Its pretty obvious to an engineer if its the fan. The casing may be resonating but it could also be caused by the pump.

Best to get it serviced and the fan changed as part of a routine service.
