I have been quoted for the tiling cost on my extension and i am not sure if it is a good price or not.
One of the quotes is for the kitchen floor, to lay plywood and then tile it, the room is 3.75m x 7.25m
The quote i have is £800 to lay the tiles that will be supplied by ourselfs (we also supply the grout). I am clueless as to weather or not this is good or not. Any advise would be appreciated.

Sounds potentially ok to me, but who's providing the timber, the primer (if any) and the tile adhesive? |

Depends on what thickness of ply you are having fitted. Bear in mind that tiling onto ply will require flexible (flexible = expensive) powdered adhesive (you don't say that you are supplying that) that could cost £150 - £200 depending on what brand you use.
Depends on your location - London prices?
Also, what tiles you are laying - small tiles = high prices. |
