I want to install an outside light with pir. The cable will run from the light and into a cupboard in my kitchen, in this cupboard is my consumer unit can I wire up to the the unit and run the cable to the light via an fcu. This is the easiest option for me or will I have to take a feed from an existing light circuit. The light will have a 60watt bulb fitted. |

If you are sure you feel confident going into the consumer unit then yes what you propose will be ok, connect into the output of your lighting circuit. |
