I want to install an outside light with pir. The cable will run from the light and into a cupboard in my kitchen, in this cupboard is my consumer unit can I wire up to the the unit and run the cable to the light via an fcu. This is the easiest option for me or will I have to take a feed from an existing light circuit. The light will have a 60watt bulb fitted.

If you are sure you feel confident going into the consumer unit then yes what you propose will be ok, connect into the output of your lighting circuit.
