Waste with overflow slot but basin has no overflow

Purchased Basin tap set and the waste has a overflow slot but the basin does not have overflow .

Is there a rubber seal to cover overflow slot? or there do i buy the overflow connector and seal it ?

P S tried to find another waste without overflow slot and no such luck

What you need is what's called an Unslotted Basin Waste. You should be able to get one from your local plumbers store. You can get them as I've fitted them before.
