moving soil pipe

i am not very knowledgeable so would like advice. have quite a small upstairs bathroom with internal soil pipe would like to move it to exact same position outside. don't mind if it has to come back in further down to go into same bit at bottom if thats even possible. just want to know how big a job, rough idea of cost in ayrshire thx

it shouldn't be a problem but expect prices to start around £800.

Check with the local building control office first

Sometimes there can be a problem with an external soil pipe freezing. If there is a continuous trinkle of water ( ie a tap left dripping ) this can freeze and build up to block the pipe.

We had to have ours inside the house for this reason because external would have been on the north wall

you won`t be allowed to come back inside @ the bottom.....ie. an offset in the wet part of the stack........I would think all outside will be ok for build. control......it was prohibited for some years Who knows why icon_rolleyes.gif maybe the same shiny a***d suited pen pusher who decreed bedroom ceilings must be 2.3m now that`s changed icon_lol.gif
