Ventaxia 100XT bathroom extractor fan with timer
Reply with quote Thanks

Would appreciate some help please.

Have purchased a Vent-Axia 100XT extractor fan to install in a bathroom. Am OK with the wiring diagramme for the installation, except that it seems to show an inductor (choke), to be installed in the ceiling junction containing the connections to the pullcord switch, between the live switched (Ls) line and the neutral (N) line. Cannot find any guidance on the Ventaxia site. Do I need such a component and if so, any advice on suitable size and configuration?

Can you scan the instructions and post them here?

Have you spoken to VA? They're in the best position to advise you.

http://www.vent-axia.com/products/domestic/pdf/DOM-VA100-wiring.pdf

Shows an optional lamp with a symbol that is more like that of a choke.

You're right Bernard - it's a lamp

Thanks very much. It shows the option to have a pullcord switch with an "On" indicator lamp.

Thanks for the help and the very rapid replies.

Are you aware this work will be notifiable to your LABC?
