I have to install a two gang , one way otdoor light switch. The set up seems quite simple, left hand switch has common(below) and L1 (above) and the same on the RHS common and L1.
I am running twin and earth into the unit from an rcd supply, and two small garden appliances out for each switch.Normal colour codes red=live blue/black =neutral + earth.

Can you please advise me of the correct configuration of wiring to these points.

many thanks.

Stix, couple of things, are these switches going to control Lights or something else, I ask because you said appliances.

Are these cables going to be outside, I assume they are because you have stated they are in your garden.

Firstly, Twin and Earth is not designed for external use, and should not be used for permanent installations.

If the switches are not for lighting, then they are the wrong switches, you should have double pole switches, ones that make/break both the Live and Neutral Conductors.

Thanks for the reply,

extra info....The 2 gang switch is a MK masterseal exterior type. I am running a watt water pump, and a low voltage transformer with pond light.
I am running the cable through conduit.

Many thanks

Thanks Breezer for the link,

may consider that bit of kit, if my current from first posting is not solved...

?????

Thanks

I think you'd be better off with DP switches for this kit, or at least a DP isolator upstream so to speak (ie b4 the masterseal switches) so you can totally isolate for maintenance.

incoming live--> 1 termina of each switch
outgoing lives--> other terminal of switches
neutrals--> all joined with chock block
earths--> all in earth terminal of switch box
