INGLIS IS4100 / WHIRLPOOL WTW5100S

Hi, I live in Canada and just purchased an INGLIS IS4100 washer which is identical to WHIRLPOOL WTW5100S. My old GE just died after 30 years !!!
I noticed that when I wash on certain cycles, the machine pauses for a few seconds, then continue to wash, then pauses again. Is this normal for this machine ???

Certain Whirlpool washers have a pause in a cycle or two that is built into the cycle. So yes this is normal unless they progress into longer pauses.
