I spilt red wine all over the arm of my dads sofa so I rubbed it with salt etc and then dabbed it with white wine. I left it over night and checked it this morning and the stain is still there....any suggestions? He is going to murder me when he finds out......I need some help!!!!

So you didn't follow the "RedWine" instructions?

http://www.diynot.com/pages/st/st075.php

Carpets and Furnishings
Immediately sprinkle salt on to stain area, leave to react and absorb colour for a while, then brush off . Dissolve biological detergent in warm water and sponge stain, then sponge with cold water until stain has disappeared. Repeat if necessary then shampoo.

There is some wonderful stuff called 'Wineaway' that you can buy from Lakeland. Go to www.lakeland.co.uk; they do mail order and have quite a few shops around the country.
