I spilt red wine all over the arm of my dads sofa so I rubbed it with salt etc and then dabbed it with white wine. I left it over night and checked it this morning and the stain is still there....any suggestions? He is going to murder me when he finds out......I need some help!!!! |

So you didn't follow the "RedWine" instructions?

Carpets and Furnishings
Immediately sprinkle salt on to stain area, leave to react and absorb colour for a while, then brush off . Dissolve biological detergent in warm water and sponge stain, then sponge with cold water until stain has disappeared. Repeat if necessary then shampoo. |

There is some wonderful stuff called 'Wineaway' that you can buy from Lakeland. Go to www.lakeland.co.uk; they do mail order and have quite a few shops around the country. |
