Integrated dishwasher door

Just got a new integrated AEG dishwasher. The door won't stay down BUT the fitted cabinet door panel hasn't been fitted yet. Will this cure the problem?
My wife's in a bit of a panic!!

Yes the door is not balanced until panel fitted.
