Hmmm, perhaps a more helpful answer might be required here!
Now, tiling is often applied to marine plywood in bathroom situations, so ply is obviously a suitable surface to apply tiles to. I am not sure about "normal" wood.
So, if you replaced your risers with some nice thick plywood, then applied tile adhesive to the riser. I believe then you push your mosaic into the adhesive, and peel off the backing when the adhesive is set.
That is my starter for 10, perhaps someone else will throw in some ideas/correct me? |
