We have just had new windows fitted a few months ago and have now found out that 2 of the windows have the wind blowing thro on the corners. If you pull hard on the window handle it stops this. I have looked at the mechanism and does not seem any adjustment. How do you get the window into the frame more to stop the problem !! The installer of the windows seem to have gone missing and he was Fensa registered !! |

on the window sash itself there should be 2 cylinders protruding from the locking mechanism,in the centre of both of these should be a recess for an alan key, when they are turned they rotate on an elipse this tightens or loosens the sash (opener)against the frame.your fitter should have done this when the window was installed.hope this helps. |

Thanks for the reply but I have had another look at the sash and there seems no cylinders or barrel looking things coming out of it ! There is 2 plates that come out around the middle of the sash and one at the very top and one at the bottom and again there seems no adjustment at all with these plates. There are no elongated slots on the metal bars for anything to move! Again can anyone help in this problem ! |
