Parents have just had an oblong Edwardian conservatory built and none of the large windows just above the dwarf brick wall open; only the small windows at the very top open. (Parents didn't request that the windows opened when it was being built!).

I just wondered whether it is a major and costly job to put some window openers in some of the large window panes.
Any ideas as to costings I should expect for 3 large panes to have openers on them?

Thanks.

Dont know how easy it would be to create opening windows in fixed glazed units if it is constructed with wood.
If it is upvc units the whole unit would need changed and new units fabricated incorporating openers.

Thanks for your reply.
The units are UPVC so sounds as if new glass units will be needed.

It wouldnt be 3 panes of glass you would be buying though it would be the full prefabricated units.
You would need to measure the existing units and contact a fabrication company to get a price.
